Ports are fairly straightforward. Every so often, the Barge will stop somewhere. Sometimes we all must depart, sometimes it's optional. Inmates need a warden with them to depart, so if you don't have an inmate of your own to look after or you don't mind taking on more, you can escort an unpaired inmate.
Breaches and floods are a little more complicated. Sometimes while we are traveling, we come across worlds but do not stop there. Instead, they come onto the Barge. At times behaviors or the environment will simply change, other times you'll become someone else with different life experiences though you're still the same person at your core.
