[She's been mostly out since she was brought back to the Barge. She's had moments of fitfulness, which were caused by pain and vivid nightmares. But now the worst, as they say, was over. She was fully awake at last, but she wasn't getting out of the infirmary any time soon.]
I've been better. [There's no use lying about it- he looks tired, and he's been spending a lot of time in here trying to help, so it hasn't exactly been the best of days. But it's certainly not the worst things have ever been, either.]
If it's too much trouble to talk, we can talk up here- [He taps his temple] If you want.
[It's just a suggestion. He doesn't know her well enough yet to know if she'd be open to it or not.]
Ah'd just end up talkin' out loud anyway. It's just what Ah'm used ta from back home. This is fine, unless ya'd rather... [She taps her head, perhaps a little teasingly.]
[He laughs, relieved to see she's feeling up to kidding around a little. She's definitely resilient, and he wonders what that says about her world and what she's been through already.
Or maybe she's just naturally cheerful.]
If you're sure. Did Dr. Banner say how long he thought you were going to be held up, here?
Apparently, round here dyin' gets ya up and runnin' faster than not. [Just one more thing she could thank Creed for. Being singled out by him was always such a joy.] If someone around had healin' abilities and wouldn't mind loanin' them t'me, Ah'd be up a lot sooner.
I don't know exactly how it happened - we don't know each other very well - but in her world, much like ours, some people began to exhibit extraordinary powers. She's able to recover from virtually any injury in minutes, if not seconds, and ingesting her blood allows you to borrow the ability. It even heals old scars.
