[She's been mostly out since she was brought back to the Barge. She's had moments of fitfulness, which were caused by pain and vivid nightmares. But now the worst, as they say, was over. She was fully awake at last, but she wasn't getting out of the infirmary any time soon.]

[That is exactly the reason he does this. That and it's so much easier than actually dealing with anything going on behind his eyes; if he ignores it long enough, it goes away.

Though he does flinch at the reminder, masking it by looking down at the chair to set down the gauze in his hands, still smiling broadly.]

Yeah, well, you don't need the beauty sleep. You comfortable for now?

Sweet talker. [She knows she looks like the wreck she is, but it's still nice to hear otherwise.]

Hospital beds are the worst, but Ah'll manage. [Everything hurts, Dean, but no, it's the bed that's the problem. Honest.]

[Dean flashes her his high watt smile for the first part as if to say yes, he knows; really it's another cherry on the top, before he's actually considering the bed in question.]

Yeah, you know, I'm pretty sure they do that on purpose so no one wants to hang around in 'em. As if anyone does anyway.

At least the nurses here are hot. [Dean glances sidelong, catches sight of Cain, and then grins back at her with an exaggerated wince.] Well. Most of 'em anyway.

[She smiles wide and winces at the same time, a hand going to her ribs. Laughing hurts so much, but she needs it.]

Ah suppose that is a bonus. Least Ah've got something pretty ta look at while Ah'm stuck here.

[Dean just smiles, not relishing the obvious signs of pain, but not remotely apologetic for making her laugh, either.

It's the best he can do.

After a moment of studying her, casually thoughtful, he notches his chin at the most obvious of her bandages.]

So how long you expect that'll be? Don't you have mojo or something to fix this, now the forcefield of powers is back up?

Ah heal at the same rate everyone else does, darlin'. Unless someone's got healin' abilities and is willin' ta loan 'em out.

[Wolverine, where art thou? Heck she'd even take Frenzy right now. Retroactive invulnerability still works.]

[Well that's... unexpected. Although honestly, he should've gathered that just from her presence here, he supposes.

He still raises an eyebrow.]

So the powers are a one-shot type of deal, huh?
