[Hello, Barge. There's another new face here, one with green eyes and brown hair with white bangs. She smiles, and it's friendly and warm. The voice is all magnolias and honey.]

Not much in the way of orientation 'round here, is there? S'all right. Ah'm no stranger ta jumpin' in the deep end right off. Sorta reminds me of the first day of school.

Mah name's Rogue. Ah'm here as a Warden. Ah'm still settlin' in, but Ah figure Ah'll take a full look around the place here in a bit, get mah bearin's. If anyone feels like playin' tour guide, Ah wouldn't object either.

[Yup. He's just butting right into view. And yes, he's really not wearing a whole lot although HE HAS PANTS ON come on people. This is what happens when you wake him up before he's even got out of bed to point out new rooms. And then proceed to distract him with the brand spanking new shower that's not all that new. Clothing is an afterthought.]

Didn't know you were coming or else I would've started the fan club already.

[YES that is always an accomplishment in his off-time. They may be boxers with little rubber ducks all over them but pants.

He's much less self-conscious about waving.]

[Whether he is or he isn't doesn't really matter. He could get serious about it at any moment. So it's best to just...roll with it, right?]

I mean yeah, sure, I always do better in solo runs or team-ups, but you won't know for sure unless you try, right?

[What she's not going to say, here with Rogue listening, is how it outrages her to think of him being treated as an unwelcome hanger-on; the same way the Doctor treats her. They both deserve better. Not that Iris has ever managed to convince herself of that, all the times when he's been there in front of her; but she knows it for truth all the same.]

Try anything once, eh? But if 'e cuts up funny about it, tell 'im I'll come kick 'is arse.

[Don't worry, Iris; one day he'll find a group that accepts him for who he is. And it will be the best time ever...aside from the whole mess with the Brotherhood but HEY that's how these things go.]

Recently. Very long story short. Scott, Emma, Magik, Namor, and Colossus nearly destroyed the planet after takin' in the Phoenix Force.

Aww, and I always thought Scott was the boyscout of the group. That's just disappointing. That would be why you don't poke at the Phoenix stuff, boys and girls. Even I know that.

It was a huge mess, that's for sure. Scott's gone way off the rails. Not sure if we'll get him back.

Lame. Somebody obviously needs to smack him upside the head a few thousand times.

If they let ya close enough ta the man, it might help. [She is so disappointed in Scott. She saw it coming a mile away, and WARNED HIM, and he still did it anyway.]

We can always use more hands on deck, darlin'. With this under yer belt, Ah'm sure he'd get over it.

[....Logan's actually been nothing but decent to him anyway when it gets down to it, rough edges aside; they've both got the whole "screwed over by the Canadian government" story, it helps. Wade believes wholeheartedly that Logan won't be as resistant to it as the noises he makes imply.]

Plus, I make an awesome cone of silence. You can't afford to not have my skills in the mix.
