[Hello, Barge. There's another new face here, one with green eyes and brown hair with white bangs. She smiles, and it's friendly and warm. The voice is all magnolias and honey.]

Not much in the way of orientation 'round here, is there? S'all right. Ah'm no stranger ta jumpin' in the deep end right off. Sorta reminds me of the first day of school.

Mah name's Rogue. Ah'm here as a Warden. Ah'm still settlin' in, but Ah figure Ah'll take a full look around the place here in a bit, get mah bearin's. If anyone feels like playin' tour guide, Ah wouldn't object either.

[No that makes no sense, his eyebrows are coming together again.] I'd be over eighty.

[ Yeah...about that.]

Thing happened, and well he was physically de-aged inta his prime.

[....................what.]

What thing?

Ah didn't really know him at the time it first happened, but there were a few different folks involved. He was de-aged into an infant, then aged up into his prime. Then further down the line he was rejuvenated. [Wow her world is complicated and mostly insane.]

[He is just going to stare at her for a long moment, excuse him Rogue, but wow that is utterly cray and he's not sure he can imagine that in his future.]

I can't believe this happened twice.

[Well...it may not happen to him, so...there's that?]

Darlin', ya'd be shocked at the things that happen on a regular basis where Ah'm from. [What is 'normal'?]

At this point, I think I believe you. [He doesn't know but it sure as hell sounds like she doesn't.]

[She really, really doesn't.

She gives him an apologetic smile.]

Ah'm sorry. It's a bit much ta lay on a person.

Of all people to tell, [he starts dryly,] Who better than some version of myself?

Knowin' the future, even just a possibility of it, can be an awful burden.

[She sounds like she speaks from experience. Because, guess what! She is.]

[Welp. He gives a dark little chuckle.]

This is far from the first I've heard. You're from - at least the fifth, call them parallel worlds, I suppose, who knows some version of me. I've heard a lot already.

[Most of it, from his tone, not good.]

[She winces at that information, brief but obvious.]

Oh, sugah, and Ah'm the only one that wasn't carryin' pitch forks and torches?

[His mouth quirks at the corner a little.]

You could say that.

[She's not smiling, because it isn't funny. Not even close.]

That's so incredibly unfair. Ah'm sorry.

[How many times was she going to apologize for things she couldn't possibly help? Probably a lot more.]

[It's a nice change. The half smile stays, though it turns a little ironic.]

It's not like it's your fault. And from what I've heard, he deserves it.

Ah can still be sorry that people have taken their issues out on ya. Ya've probably got plenty ta deal with, without bearing the burden of someone else's mistakes.

[Seeing as he's an inmate and all. Whether or not Magnus deserves the hate? She was going to plead the fifth this time.]

Well. I can't disagree with you there. [He had hated the way Wanda had never been able to separate him from her father, hated the way Anya had been afraid of him and the way Pietro had been so ready to pick a fight with.

He and Pietro made their uneasy peace after Silent Hill, and things have gotten so good with Anya - but he lost that chance with Wanda. That, on top of everything else he's heard - it hasn't been easy.]

You're yer own person, Erik. Ah see so much of him in ya, but Ah also see a world of differences already. Good ones. Ah hope you'll let me see the rest while Ah'm here.

[Her smile is kind, and a bit of that southern sweet too. She'll have to watch herself, because she likes him already. He made it easy. She wouldn't want to be guilty of projecting her feelings for Magnus onto Erik, the same way everyone else had before her. Just because her's were positive in nature, didn't make it any less unfair to him.]

[His smile smooths, widens a little, though it doesn't last terribly long. She's the first person to project something better than awful onto him, and he can't help but be grateful for it.]

Maybe I will.
